Changing Your Simmons Password Or Security Questions (Step-By-Step Directions)

  1. To start, go to and log in with your Simmons username and password

  2. Once you’ve logged into your Simmons Preferences page, you will see options to “Change Password” and “Change Security Questions”. To change your password, click “Change Password”.  

  3. On this page, you must enter your current password, and then your new password, and then confirm the new password by typing it again.

    Your password must be at least 8 characters in length, and should contain at least one character that is not a letter, such as a number or a symbol.To make your account as secure as possible, please try to aim for at least a rating of “mediocre”, though a “strong” password is ideal. 

    When you are finished, hit “Change”. 

    You should receive a confirmation saying “Your new password has been saved"

  4. To change your security questions, click “Change Security Questions”

  5. On this page, you will be able to set three new security questions. These questions can be used to recover your password if you should forget it, by going to

    Select a question that you are likely to remember the answer to from the drop down menu. Type in the answer and repeat for the following questions. 

    When you have selected and answered three security questions, hit “Change”.

  6. You should receive a confirmation saying “Your new security questions have been saved”
