Wireless networking is available throughout the Academic Campus and Residence Campus, and can be accessed by both Simmons students and guests. Once you are connected, your device will automatically reconnect as you move from location to location.

Requirements:

You will need the following to connect to and use the Simmons Wireless Network:

• A computer with 802.11b/g/n compatible wireless network card OR a WiFi enabled mobile device.
• Your Simmons email username and password (If you are a guest user, you do not need a Simmons username and password).

Connecting:

Mobile Devices (iPhone/iPad/Android/Blackberry):

1. Navigate to your Settings menu and then choose Wi-Fi or Wireless Networks, depending on your device.
2. Choose the network called "Simmons" and enter your Simmons username and password.
3. Your device should now be connected to the network. 

Computer:

1. Locate the wireless icon on your computer:
• On a Mac, this is located on the top right of your screen, near the time and date.
• On a Windows computer, this is located on the taskbar at the bottom right of your screen.
2. Choose the wireless network called "Simmons".
3. Open a web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari) and navigate to any website.
4. Your web browser will be redirected to the Simmons Wireless Network login page.
5. Log in with your Simmons username and password, or, if you are a guest user, click 'login as guest'.
6. If you are logging in as a guest, read the terms and conditions, check 'I agree', and click the login button.
7. Your computer should now be connected. Please note that you will only need to login the first time you use the Simmons network. Your computer should reconnect automatically the next time you are using it on campus (this applies to guest users as well).
